Training for Drumcircle Facilitators:
John Walter offers bespoke training Internationally using Skype and web based materials.
To participate you will need to have had some Drumcircle Facilitator training and be in a position to facilitate a drumcircle at least once a fortnight.
Typically it may include:
- We have a series of 6 one hour phone calls (or skype) over a period of 6 to 12 weeks.
In between we will have email contact. As much as you like.
- The aim of the coaching is for you to design, try out and perfect your programme.
- The first call will set it all up and create the draft design of your programme.
- Subsequent calls will revolve around a report (or video) of a session you have run.
- We will go through it step by step looking at what you were intending to achieve and the success or otherwise you had.
- We will look at the educational content, managing behaviour, managing equipment, facilitation skills, what you are doing and what you are feeling during the whole session
- I will coach you on all the issues arising and after the call you will send me a revised programme for the next session.
- After six calls you will have a world class programme designed, tried out and tested. The unique thing about this training is that i will be coaching you to design a programme that works for you, not to run a programme that someone else has designed.
- UK based trainees could also volunteer to assist on a couple of drumcrazy events and I could possibly visit one of your events (with some charge to cover expenses)
The cost would be £425 GBP
The commitment required from you is that you will put in the necessary work between calls and have events organised that we can work with. You will need at least one event a fortnight for it to work. They can be any type of drumcircle that you wish to design a programme for. I will also ask for a testimonial type report to go on my website.
Once you have completed this process we are usually happy to employ UK based trainees on a casual basis as a DrumCrazy facilitator.
A number of people who have been through this process have set up their own business and we have created our own team of facilitators in this way.
