Musicality Training Days:
These days are created irregularly and spontaneously. You can request one in your area or host one in your school, or find one that is already organised and come to that.
Hosting a Training Day:
This is the cheapest way for you to get training from DrumCrazy. You help us to create a day with around 10 participants.
We ask you to:
- Provide us with use of a hall for the day
- Provide us with a class of children to practice on in the afternoon.
- Help us to publicise the event with local schools
- Help us provide a lunch for everyone
We provide:
- One Trainer/Facilitator
- All the administration
- All the equipment
What does it cost?:
- It costs you nothing
- 2 staff from your school can take part for free
- We charge participants from other schools a fee of around £100 each or £150 for two teachers from the same school.
What do participants get from the day?
- An introduction to Drumcircle facilitation skills which can form the basis of a school wide music teaching approach.
- An overview for using the whole range of percussion instruments generally available in schools.
- An introduction to : Body rhythms, Boomwhackers, Junk.
- An opportunity to play using drums and percussion from Africa, South America and the Middle East.
- Universal principals that can be applied to any set of percussion instruments from any part of the world.
