Junk Bands
This term covers a multitude of drumming types drawn together because they don't use manufactured instruments they use found or recycled objects. They can manifest as Rock style bands using massive gas pipes, shopping trolleys and kitchen sinks, to "Stomp" style performances using simple household objects such as brooms and sink plungers.
If you are creating your own junk band we can come and run a drumcircle with you. We will start with our own instruments to get the basic skills established and show how to create a balanced orchestra.
We can then integrate some of your found instruments, inspire everyone to create new instruments and give them all new approaches to creating rhythms and arrangements.
