There are universal principles that apply to all group drumming and it is these principles that we pass on through our drumcircles.
We use mainly African, American and Middle Eastern drums and percussion because we can balance the sounds well in a large group.
Some large drums with sticks from Japan India and South America are simply too loud for use in the classroom. The Indian Tabla takes years to learn to play well. Other drums and percussion do not work well in a large group for a variety of reasons.
